  • Blends equal parts concentrated passion fruit juice, condensed milk, and heavy cream without requiring gelatin or baking.

Presentation

  • Served in individual glass cups or a large glass bowl to showcase color.

  • Topped with fresh passion fruit pulp and crunchy seeds.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream (or media crema)

  • 1 cup concentrated passion fruit juice (unsweetened pulp)

  • Fresh pulp from 1 passion fruit with seeds (for topping)

Directions

  • Pour sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream, and concentrated passion fruit juice into a blender.

  • Blend on high speed for 3 to 5 minutes until thick, smooth, and airy.

  • Divide mixture into dessert cups or pour into a broad glass bowl.

  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours to allow natural setting.

  • Spoon fresh passion fruit pulp with seeds over the top prior to serving.

Optional Variations

  • Mousse de Limão: Substitute passion fruit juice with fresh lime juice and lime zest.

  • Mousse de Maracujá com Chocolate: Layer with dark chocolate ganache at the base of each dish.

Cooking Tips

  • The acid in passion fruit juice naturally thickens the condensed milk and cream, eliminating the need for gelatin.

  • Use concentrated juice rather than diluted passion fruit nectar for proper firmness and punchy acidity.
